Science Begins!
Sixth grade started the year with a states of matter review and then learned the difference in a mixture and compound. Which is it? After seperating wheat, pennies, iron filings, and sand this is most definitely a MIXTURE! It can be seperated and is not chemically connected! Hmmm, this looks cool! Let me, let me!!
AbOuT Me! I am an elementary science and social studies teacher who loves creating primitive crafts! I am a lover of old rusty metal, grungy goods, and anything that might have been used years ago. I am a farmer's wife with chickens and a German Shepard named Bo who never leaves my side, this includes vacuuming! I have two kids, one who graduated in May with a secondary degree in education and English! She is currently teaching High School Science! A son who is a farmer/rancher here on our farm. I love to quilt and create primitive items in my spare time.
I teach 4th, 5th, and 6th grade Science and Social Studies and have created this blog so that others can get a glimpse of some of the great things happening with students in our school. I love to blog and was so happy to be able to include this so others might enjoy our great activities as well. Hope you all enjoy and can somewhat experience the things we do everyday!
